This guide provides a straightforward approach for merchants to integrate an order tracking feature on their store, enhancing customer trust and satisfaction by enabling real-time orders monitoring.
Navigate to Online Stores
- Go to your Shopify admin dashboard
- Under "Sales Channels," locate and select "Online Stores."
Customise the Current Theme
- From the list of available themes, identify the current theme your website is using.
- Click on the "Customise" button next to the current theme to enter the customisation mode.
Enable App Embeds
- In the customisation menu, look for options related to embedding apps or widgets.
- Find and select "App Embeds" or a similar option depending on your platform's terminology.
Enabling the Order Status Widget
- Within the "App Embeds" section, locate the option for the order status widget.
- Toggle the switch or check the box to enable the order status widget.
Save the Theme
- After enabling the order status widget, ensure to save the changes made to the theme.
- Click on the "Save" button to apply the changes to your website's theme.
View as a customer
- Your customers will see all their active orders.
- They will be able to track their order.
